Description

The role supports a project delivering pricing optimisation solutions with a major UK retailer’s data science team. You will deploy and maintain end-to-end ML lifecycle workflows, develop PySpark ETL/feature pipelines, provision AzureML resources using Terraform, and help build APIs and reusable architectures to productionize pricing models across business domains.

Responsibilities

• Implement the end-to-end Machine Learning Lifecycle: data preparation, automated deployment, continuous monitoring in production
• Develop PySpark data pipelines for loading and transforming large datasets to produce features for modelling and analytics
• Provision cloud resources for model development in AzureML using IaC with Terraform
• Select suitable architectural patterns to solve business problems
• Build robust, maintainable code in cloud and on-prem to bring models fast and reliably into production
• Establish DevOps culture and develop reusable solutions across multiple business domains

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on machine learning engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in writing high-quality Python code
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow
• Knowledge of Spark or other distributed data processing tools
• Experience with the Kubernetes ecosystem as a user
• Advanced expertise in Azure and Docker
• Ability to collaborate within an engineering team and contribute effectively to the design process
• Good command of English (B2/C1)
• Strong communication and mentoring capabilities
• Proactive, responsible approach with a strategic, big-picture perspective
• Availability to work in a hybrid model from time to time
