Description

As a Senior Java Engineer (Agentic & Data Platforms), you will help design and deliver a user-driven UI tool for the operations team, work within a system processing billions of transactions, and build out an agentic user that automates key operational tasks. Your expertise will contribute to production-grade engineering, reusable frameworks, and cross-team initiatives that elevate the quality and speed of delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop a user-driven UI tool used by the operations team for regulatory reporting.
• Work within a system handling billions of transactions to identify, retrieve, and fix incorrect ones.
• Build out an agentic user to automate tasks for operations users.
• Commit code and deliver it into production.
• Speak directly with users to confirm requirements, test solutions, and resolve issues.
• Proactively identify what needs to be built and propose solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong server-side Java experience, ideally with Spring Boot microservices.
• Practical exposure to AI/agentic development; an initial project is sufficient.
• Experience with big-data platforms such as Databricks and/or Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Kafka in production environments.
• Familiarity with relational databases at scale, such as SingleStore, and/or Snowflake for archival and analytics.
• Exposure to agentic development frameworks, such as Google ADK or equivalent frameworks.
• Comfort using AI coding tools such as Claude or Copilot and working with Python for agentic development.
• Proactive, self-starter mindset and comfort speaking directly with business users.
• Front-end experience with React or similar is a plus, but not required.
