Linux Administrator

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Linux (RHEL)
• Experience in Linux product engineering and software/hardware lifecycle management
• Experience in Linux (RHEL) infrastructure design, including data centres
• Proficiency in Linux (RHEL) design and implementation
• Experience with LVM, user management and troubleshooting
• Ability to work with OEMs to maintain product lifecycle, important patches and firmware updates
• Experience in patch management for complete Linux (RHEL) infrastructure
• Understanding of tools used to patch Linux (RHEL) servers
• Understanding of cluster solutions, including Veritas Cluster, PowerHA, Red Hat Cluster, High-Performance Computing (HPC), GPFS and PCS cluster
• Experience with Satellite Server installation, configuration and administration
• Experience in LPAR installation and maintenance
• Experience in mksysb backup and restoration
• Experience with NIM Server installation, configuration and administration
• Understanding of backup technologies, including Cohesity and Networker, and storage technologies
• Project methodology knowledge and experience working in project settings as well as operations settings
• Fundamental understanding of ITIL
• Strong documentation skills
