Senior Automation Tester (Playwright+JavaScript/TypeScript)

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of test automation strategy and implementation for team deliveries.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright.
• Ensure high test coverage and quality of automated tests across applications.
• Plan and execute automated testing activities, including test design, execution, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain API and UI test automation scripts.
• Work with JavaScript / TypeScript to build scalable and maintainable test code.
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins.
• Monitor and improve test automation performance and stability.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met.
• Analyze test results and identify defects and improvement areas.
• Drive improvements in automation coverage to achieve target quality levels.
• Continuously enhance processes and tools to improve test efficiency and reliability.

Requirements

• Strong experience in test automation using Playwright.
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Strong experience in API testing.
• Ability to design, develop, and maintain high-quality test automation code.
• Good understanding of the full testing lifecycle: test planning, execution, and reporting.
• Experience working with databases, including querying and data validation.
• Ability to read and understand application code.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins integration.
• Strong ownership of automation testing strategy and coverage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and drive automation initiatives.
• Strong communication skills.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.

Nice to have

• Interest in AI-augmented test automation and its application in improving test stability.
• Experience with BDD frameworks, such as Cucumber.
