Software Engineer (Android)

About the project

Join a team building a rider-facing mobile app for a European shared micro-mobility provider. The app enables riders to unlock, ride, and pay for shared e-scooter and e-bike trips, with a focus on reliability and a smooth user experience.

About the role

Work in a cross-functional product team of engineers, designers, and product managers. Contribute to the Android app used by riders and collaborate closely with the team on product outcomes.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, and maintain features for the Android rider app in collaboration with backend, product, and design teams.
• Write clean, testable, maintainable Kotlin code and contribute to the app architecture using Jetpack Compose for modern UI development.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from technical design through release and production monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, communicate progress, and help improve team practices.

What we’re looking for

• Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Solid understanding of MVVM and experience applying it in production apps.
• Practical experience with Coroutines and Flows for asynchronous and reactive programming.
• Experience building and shipping production-grade, distributed, or client-facing mobile applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, communicative approach to teamwork.

The engagement

This role begins as a B2B contract for approximately 6 months. A longer-term collaboration is planned, with the possibility of transitioning into the client’s team if the engagement is successful.
