Azure Solutions Architect

The role supports a major client engagement as an Azure Solutions Architect, focusing on application functionality, infrastructure, and how components work together. The successful candidate will design advanced, scalable web applications on Azure and define end-to-end solutions.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Azure services and ability to provision Azure services to verify design decisions (minimum 5 years of experience)
• Ability to make decisions on PaaS/IaaS services that fit the purpose of the solution
• Ability to design Azure infrastructure and work with the RMG Infrastructure team to agree the Azure solution
• Understanding of Azure networking and infrastructure to define an end-to-end solution
• Ability to produce a Solution Architecture Document
• Ability to produce an Interface Control Document for REST and SOAP APIs
• Ability to produce a Microservices Document
• Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, preferably Azure SQL and Cosmos DB
• Strong understanding of security protocols and their use, including SAML, OIDC, OAuth 2.0, JWT, RBAC, and Managed Identities
• Good understanding of Azure DevOps (CI/CD)
• Ability to work with TDA for solution approval
• Ability to work with the Security team to ensure solutions meet security guidelines and requirements
• Understanding of Azure Landing Zones and policy-based governance
• Good communication skills and attention to detail
• Team leadership experience
• Familiarity with agile methodologies
• Good problem-solving skills
• English proficiency at B2 minimum
