Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for an exceptional Mechanical Engineer with 1–3 years of experience who works well independently and with others to conceptualize, design, prototype, and analyze mechanical concepts while collaborating with cross-functional teams on a wide variety of mechanical tasks. The candidate should be comfortable working with electrical engineers, software engineers, designers, and human factors engineers, and be able to adapt and recommend solutions to non-engineering colleagues and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, design, and analyze mechanical systems and components as part of the core project team
  • Develop and execute proof-of-concept prototypes to validate design concepts
  • Perform testing and analysis to support design decisions and product development
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers, software engineers, designers, and human factors engineers throughout the development process
  • Communicate technical concepts and solutions to non-engineering colleagues and clients
  • Document engineering work thoroughly for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Adapt and recommend mechanical solutions based on project and client needs
  • Contribute to laboratory and machine shop work to support prototyping and production efforts

Requirements

  • BSME or equivalent from an accredited engineering program
  • 1–3 years of mechanical engineering experience
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD design using SolidWorks
  • Background in manufacturing processes across prototype and production levels, including laboratory and machine shop work
  • Experience designing and executing proof-of-concept prototypes
  • Understanding of theoretical mechanical engineering principles
  • Energetic team player with a creative spirit and a knack for problem-solving
  • Curiosity to build knowledge in new technologies, industries, and business models quickly
  • Ability to learn and adapt with creativity, with enthusiasm for solving problems and leading innovation
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to relate well with people and build partnerships
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of design for injection molding, material research and selection, and mechanism design
  • Experience in measurement, experiment design, and electromechanical system design
  • Familiarity with robotics, mechatronics, and machine vision
  • Understanding of dynamics, dimension and tolerance studies, and thermal analysis/flow simulation
  • Skills in sheet metal design, machined part design, and structural frame design
  • Knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM) and applied safety standards such as IEC-61010 and IEC-60601
