Azure Cloud Engineer

Summary

The Azure Cloud Engineer designs, implements, and optimizes resilient cloud infrastructure on Azure platforms to ensure the availability, security, and performance of cloud-based applications and services.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure using Azure services based on business and technical requirements.
• Develop automated deployment pipelines using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Azure CloudFormation and Azure CDK.
• Implement and manage security practices, including Identity and Access Management, network security, and encryption for data protection.
• Design backup, disaster recovery, and failover solutions for high availability.
• Create and maintain infrastructure architecture documentation and share knowledge with team members.
• Collaborate with architects and managers to finalize the MVP before production deployment.
• Stay updated on new Azure services and recommend improvements.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in cloud engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience with Azure services.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of networking principles in cloud environments.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and frameworks.

Nice to Have

• Master’s degree or relevant certifications.
• Certifications such as Azure Certified DevOps Engineer.

• Hybrid work arrangement in Pune.
• Collaborative team environment with multi-cloud architects.
• Reports to the Cloud Operations Manager.
• Immediate joiners are preferred; candidates serving notice periods with availability to join within 15–20 days are also preferred.
