Data Platform Developer

Description

We are looking for a Data Platform Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining modern, scalable event-driven solutions.

The platform is built around Apache Kafka, Kafka Connect, kSQL, Kafka Streams, Spring Boot, Quarkus/GraalVM, MongoDB, GraphQL, and Apache Iceberg.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop solutions based on Apache Kafka, Kafka Streams, and kSQL.
• Develop microservices using Java/Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain Kafka Connect integrations and connectors.
• Build GraphQL APIs and work with MongoDB.
• Define and manage data schemas using Avro, Protobuf, and JSON Schema.
• Automate processes using CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Implement monitoring and observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
• Optimize and maintain the Kafka environment.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, DevOps, and Analytics teams in an Agile environment.

Experience required

• 3+ years of professional experience in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka, Kafka Streams, kSQL, and Kafka Connect.
• Strong knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with MongoDB and GraphQL.
• Basic knowledge of Apache Iceberg.
• Knowledge of Python.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
• Understanding of TLS, SASL, and ACLs.
• Experience working in Scrum/Kanban environments and with Jira/Confluence.
