Tech Operations Engineer – Senior Level

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Operations Engineer to deliver and support IT services hosted on Microsoft Azure IaaS, PaaS, and Kubernetes. You will manage application releases, resolve complex incidents, and help ensure the reliability of the technology portfolio.

Hybrid work is available in Bucharest, with flexibility for remote work and occasional office visits of 1–2 times per month. Candidates with 3–4 years of experience may be considered if they have strong Azure DevOps experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and support IT services in Azure PaaS, IaaS, and Kubernetes environments
• Manage application releases and pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Troubleshoot and resolve third-level incidents
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to overcome challenges and deliver quality service
• Understand and manage the architecture of all applications in the portfolio

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Kubernetes Services, App Services, SQL PaaS, Azure Cosmos DB, Application Insights, Azure Monitor, Service Bus, and Blob Storage
• Experience with SQL Server, IIS, and Windows Services deployed on premises or in Azure IaaS
• Docker, Helm, and Kubectl experience is a plus for managing, deploying, and troubleshooting AKS environments
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps tools
• Experience implementing and operating mission-critical IT services
• Advanced troubleshooting skills covering both hosting and functional aspects of applications
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, SSL, load balancers, and OpenSSL
• Ability to write T-SQL queries and PowerShell scripts
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices to improve release management
• Familiarity with ITIL-based frameworks
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of project-management frameworks such as Agile or Scrum
• Ability to explain complex technical issues and requirements in plain language to non-technical stakeholders
• Quality-focused approach and composure under pressure
• Proficient English
