Senior Delivery Manager - Insurance

Senior • On-site

Lodz, LD, Poland

Join the team as a Senior Delivery Manager and take end-to-end ownership of client engagements, from opportunity qualification through delivery execution and value realization. Act as the primary link between Sales, Delivery, Solutions, and client leadership, translating commercial commitments into high-quality execution, long-term client partnerships, and sustainable account growth.

This role is suited to a senior delivery leader who combines commercial ownership, executive client engagement, hands-on delivery governance, and technology fluency. It offers the opportunity to shape large-scale engagements, influence account growth, and drive AI-enabled delivery improvements across complex client environments.

Responsibilities

  • Own the engagement lifecycle end-to-end—from opportunity qualification through delivery execution and stabilization—with full ownership of outcomes and P&L (revenue and profitability).
  • Build trusted relationships with C-level executives (e.g., CTO, CIO), VPs, and senior client stakeholders; lead governance, expectation management, and escalations.
  • Lead presales engagements and own RFP/RFI responses, partnering with Sales and Solution Architects to shape the engagement model, delivery approach, and feasibility.
  • Lead the deal-to-delivery transition, ensuring SOWs, commercial agreements, and delivery plans are aligned and executable.
  • Manage and grow a team of Delivery/Program Managers and Tech Leads, scaling from a single delivery team to a group of managers.
  • Establish data-driven delivery governance through KPIs, reporting, and escalation paths; mitigate risk and manage scope and commercial evolution.
  • Drive AI adoption across delivery teams to improve SDLC efficiency and translate AI-driven gains into competitive RFP and proposal narratives.
  • Oversee architecture governance, ensuring proposed solutions are reviewed, aligned with client requirements and constraints, and meet established quality standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years in IT services, consulting, or digital delivery, with a hands-on technology background in software engineering, solution architecture, or technology consulting and a visible technical focus in the management track record; technical certifications are a plus.
  • Practical, hands-on AI experience in delivery, either delivering AI-based solutions or driving AI adoption across the SDLC, with a native-AI mindset that strengthens RFP and proposal competitiveness.
  • Full ownership—not coordination—of mid- or large-scale engagement delivery, typically 40–50+ FTE and $5M+ in contract value, including full P&L accountability; experience scaling from leading one delivery team to managing a group of managers.
  • Proven leadership—not support—in client engagement, delivery management, and presales, including direct ownership of RFP/RFI responses and proposal development across complex, multi-stream delivery.
  • Full ownership of MSAs, SOWs, commercial models, and delivery approaches, including scope, margin, and change management; fixed-price or outcome-based model experience is desirable.
  • Direct, regular engagement with C-level, VP, or senior client stakeholders; strong commercial negotiation, CSAT ownership, and an account-growth mindset.
  • Engagement governance, delivery orchestration, and structured escalation management, with systems thinking that connects sales, delivery, and operations.
  • Working knowledge of solution architecture fundamentals and software engineering best practices, including code quality, CI/CD, testing, tooling, and architecture governance.
  • Basic awareness of security and compliance standards relevant to IT delivery, including data privacy and ISO/ITIL-aligned practices.
  • Experience delivering solutions in the insurance sector, including policy lifecycle, claims, underwriting, or distribution; familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as Solvency II, GDPR, and local insurance authority requirements, plus exposure to legacy core systems and data models.
  • Excellent written and spoken English: B2+ minimum, preferably C1+.

We offer

  • Top technology talent working on AI, cloud, and digital platform modernization.
  • Supportive team and agile, startup-like culture.
  • Hybrid work and remote work within Poland.
  • Opportunity to work abroad for up to 60 days annually.
  • Business-driven relocation opportunities.

Growth opportunities

  • Career development programs.
  • Thought leadership, mentoring, soft-skills, and well-being programs.
  • Certifications: Anthropic, Gemini, GCP, Azure, and AWS.
  • English classes.

Benefits

  • Stable pay.
  • Participation in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan with a 15% discount.
  • Benefits package, including health insurance, multisport, and shopping vouchers.
  • Referral bonuses up to $2,000.
  • Offices with entertainment and relaxation zones, table tennis, football, free snacks, coffee, and more.
  • Corporate, social, and well-being events.

Benefits listed above are available to employees only. Contractors are welcome; terms of B2B cooperation agreements are agreed individually. Only selected candidates will be contacted.
