At N7 Space, we are passionate about developing high-reliability software for the international space sector. We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join our team in Warsaw and contribute to a wide variety of exciting space missions. Working alongside a dedicated team of space enthusiasts, you will build and test software for satellite systems and space-grade equipment. While space missions demand high reliability, our focus is on smart engineering, technical excellence, and the excitement of seeing your work reach space.

Your Role

  • Design, implement, and test embedded software in C and C++ for diverse space projects and onboard equipment.
  • Develop deterministic, real-time applications using RTOS environments tailored for space systems.
  • Work close to the hardware, deploying software to space-grade systems.
  • Use Python to write scripts, automate tests, and build internal tools or hardware simulators.

Requirements

  • Solid proficiency in C and C++ development for embedded systems.
  • Practical experience working with Real-Time Operating Systems, such as FreeRTOS, RTEMS, or similar.
  • High comfort level using Linux as your primary development environment along with GNU toolchains and build systems.
  • Working knowledge of Python for scripting, test automation, or tooling.
  • Hands-on experience with ARM target architectures, such as Cortex-M7, Xilinx Zynq, or similar microcontrollers/SoCs.
  • Very good English skills, written and spoken, for daily technical communication and documentation.
  • Readiness to work in a hybrid model, coming to the Warsaw office.

Nice to have

  • Experience with LEON processor architecture, such as GR712RC or other SPARC-based space chips.
  • Familiarity with space communication protocols.
  • Knowledge of space industry software development standards.
  • Prior experience in space, aerospace, or high-reliability software development.
