Data & Analytics Reinvention Consultant for the Energy Industry

Description

Deliver industry-specific, end-to-end advisory services—from gathering requirements and building solutions to running demos, training users, and supporting smooth adoption.

Use industry experience to work with structured and unstructured data from enterprise systems, domain-specific systems, and external datasets to identify business-value opportunities.

Depending on technical expertise, work may include:

• Data Engineering & Architecture using technologies such as Azure, AWS, and SAP BW to build scalable solutions
• Data Analysis & Transformation using SQL, Spark, pandas, Python, R, and related tools to create optimized data models
• Business Intelligence & Visualization using PowerBI, Tableau, and SAP Analytics Cloud to translate data into clear business insights across the Resources industry value chain

Contribute to a range of client and internal initiatives beyond Data & Analytics.

Requirements

• Experience in the Resources industry, such as Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Utilities, Chemicals, Natural Resources, or Mining
• Understanding of the IT landscape in the relevant area of business expertise
• Several years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Visualization, or Data Migration of industry-specific data
• Understanding of solution design, testing, project management, and data management
• Skills in at least one of: Big Data, BI, Data Warehousing, Data Science, Data Management, Data Storage, Data Visualization, Data Migration, Data Modelling, or Data Governance
• Understanding of AI and willingness to expand expertise and apply it in an industry context
• Excellent written and verbal English at C1 level

Additional assets

• Knowledge of a major cloud technology: AWS, Azure, or GCP
• C1 proficiency in an additional language, particularly German or French
• Programming knowledge, for example SQL, Python, or R
• Experience with agile project-management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps, and project-management certification including Prince, PMP, PSM, or CSM
• Experience with SAP data, including SAP Business Warehouse, SAP Analytics Cloud, or SAP Datasphere
