Lead Full-stack Developer

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain web applications leveraging Python/FastAPI and SQL.
• Architect APIs and integrations capable of supporting demanding database workloads.
• Improve query performance throughout production environments.
• Support front-end work involving TypeScript and React.
• Utilize GenAI engineering tools to streamline development processes.
• Work both collaboratively and independently on assigned responsibilities.
• Maintain proactive communication with teammates and stakeholders.
• Own product features and make meaningful contributions beyond closing tickets.
• Handle ambiguous situations and produce results within a fast-paced startup setting.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years working in production with Python, FastAPI, and SQL.
• Strong background in building web applications, designing APIs, and creating integrations.
• Skilled at managing high-load databases and enhancing query performance.
• Some exposure to TypeScript and React front-end work, with openness to full-stack responsibilities.
• Practical experience using GenAI engineering tools; Claude Code experience preferred.
• Excellent communication abilities and self-motivation, with comfort working solo or as part of a team.
• Ability to navigate uncertainty and execute tasks independently in an open, rapidly evolving startup.
• English language skills at B2 level or above.

Nice to have

• Strong familiarity with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Storybook, Playwright, Radix UI, and Zustand.
• Background working with PostgreSQL and OpenSearch.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, Infrastructure as Code, and associated tooling.
• Data engineering exposure, particularly with PySpark and Spark SQL.
• Prior experience interacting directly with clients.
