Event Manager

Mid • Remote

We are seeking an experienced Event Manager to lead the strategic planning, on-site execution, and post-event analysis of both in-person and virtual events, ensuring seamless logistics, inclusive practices, and impactful stakeholder reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end event execution across three phases: strategic preparation (agenda, venue, travel), onsite production (logistics, speaker support), and post-event analysis (reporting and documentation).
  • Oversee physical event components, including venue selection, accommodation, catering, facility management, and event materials/gadgets production.
  • Implement Diversity & Inclusion standards by managing Codes of Conduct, accessibility features, and inclusive language guidelines for speakers and content.
  • Lead virtual production and live-streaming initiatives; manage digital event platforms, backstage speaker management, live-stream monitoring, and interactive workshops or post-session roundtables.
  • Build and maintain an events-management knowledge base, centralizing field notes, templates, designs, supplier databases, and best practices in a regional resource hub.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of event management experience, with a proven record handling both in-person and mid- to large-scale virtual events, ideally in the tech industry or for a technical/developer audience.
  • Ability to manage onsite logistics, including volunteer management, room flow, and issue escalation in high-pressure environments.
  • Ability to manage complex communication timelines, from pre-event attendee instructions to post-event follow-up emails and social media engagement.
  • Experience guiding speakers on virtual content-creation rules and technical presentation best practices for digital audiences.
  • Skills in creating feedback forms, analyzing attendee data, and delivering comprehensive post-event reports to stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with managing design and photo/video vendors to ensure high-quality event documentation and social media presence.
  • Hands-on experience with virtual event stacks, YouTube Live, StreamYard, and Google Meet.
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace tools.
  • Excellent English communication skills (C1 level).

Nice to have

  • Background in developer relations and developer communities.
  • Knowledge of German, French, or Spanish for regional coordination.
