Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain backend services and APIs using TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS, while making architectural decisions and evaluating trade-offs.
  • Build and support frontend applications using Vue and Nuxt, ensuring a good developer-facing user experience.
  • Develop internal tools and platforms that improve developer productivity, system visibility, and workflow automation.
  • Evaluate technical solutions, balancing cost, performance, complexity, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with DevOps engineers on cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability integration.
  • Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive continuous improvements.
  • Build POCs to validate new technologies and drive experimentation.

Qualifications

  • Completed university degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • Strong fullstack software development background (5+ years) with hands-on delivery of production systems.
  • Solid command of TypeScript, Node.js, and backend frameworks such as NestJS.
  • Practical knowledge of building frontend applications using Vue or Nuxt.
  • Good understanding of event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as Kafka.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud environments, including ECS, EKS, EC2, IAM, and Lambda, and with service deployment and operations.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CDK.
  • Ability to contribute to technical design discussions, system architecture topics, and cross-team engineering challenges.
  • Strong English and Polish communication skills and readiness to work in a hybrid model in Katowice.
