Senior Node.js Developer

We’re looking for a Senior Node.js Developer to join a team in Gdańsk/Kraków, Poland, in a hybrid working mode (3 days from the office). In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of front-end solutions, microservices, and REST APIs, leveraging modern technologies and best practices. You will also play a key role in analyzing legacy systems, defining architecture for transformation projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business value.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable front-end applications, microservices, and REST APIs.
• Analyze existing legacy applications and define a target state architecture for modernization.
• Implement and optimize solutions within a cloud environment using AWS services.
• Ensure performance, security, and reliability across applications and services.
• Work collaboratively in an Agile setting, engaging with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Contribute to code reviews and establish engineering best practices.
• Use testing frameworks and monitoring tools to maintain product quality and stability.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams, providing technical insights and recommendations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, including Node.js development.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript with practical experience in Node.js.
• Demonstrated experience in designing microservices architecture and building REST APIs.
• Solid hands-on experience with AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, Firehose, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch.
• Knowledge of database technologies including DynamoDB and PostgreSQL (DB2 legacy experience is a plus).
• Familiarity with TypeScript and Java.
• Understanding of CI/CD, testing practices, and tools such as Cucumber and API testing frameworks.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Excellent communication, client-facing skills, and the ability to manage ambiguity.
