Data Science Trainee

EPAM Campus offers a free Data Science training program to help you gain market-oriented hard and soft skills alongside IT professionals. In this intensive course, you will dive deep into statistics and data analysis, understand regression, classification and clustering techniques, and explore neural network basics.

This program will last approximately 4 months and require approximately 15 hours of weekly engagement. Completing it will not guarantee a job, but it will lay a solid foundation to enter the profession confidently, either with the team or in the broader IT market.

Requirements

General requirements:

• The program is available to citizens and permanent residents of Poland
• Second-to-last or final-year university students and recent graduates
• Individuals aged 18 years and older

Skills requirements:

• English level B2 (Upper-Intermediate) or higher
• Strong knowledge of Python, including the NumPy and Pandas libraries
• Proficiency in mathematical analysis: derivatives, integrals and extrema of functions in multidimensional real space
• Skills in linear algebra: vectors, matrices, tensors, linear equations, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, and quadratic forms
• Knowledge of probability theory: probability definition, conditional probability, Bayes theorem and expectation
• Command of statistics: basic concepts, hypothesis testing, likelihood and distribution-parameter estimation
• Understanding of basic optimization concepts and methods: stationary points, Lagrange multipliers and gradient descent
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms: sorting algorithms and algorithm complexity

Nice to have:

• Fluency in Polish at C1 (Advanced) level or higher
