Generative AI Operations Engineer (GenAI Ops)

Mid • Remote

Gdansk, PM, Poland

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Generative AI Operations (GenAI Ops) Engineer to build, deploy, and maintain operational infrastructure for generative AI models and services. You will work closely with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and software developers to ensure GenAI applications—especially complex, multi-agent systems—are scalable, reliable, and efficient across major cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines: Design, implement, and maintain robust, automated CI/CD pipelines for training, evaluating, and deploying large language models (LLMs) and AI agents.
  • Orchestrate agentic AI workflows: Design, deploy, and manage sophisticated multi-agent systems. Ensure seamless Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication and collaboration between specialized agents to automate complex business processes.
  • Manage tool integration: Implement and manage secure, scalable integrations between AI agents and external tools/APIs, leveraging open standards such as the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to ensure interoperability.
  • Leverage AI-powered development: Utilize AI-powered development tools to accelerate the software development lifecycle, from writing infrastructure code and tests to troubleshooting operational issues in cloud environments.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use cloud-native IaC services or cloud-agnostic tools such as Terraform to define and manage infrastructure for GenAI workloads.
  • Model monitoring and observability: Implement monitoring and logging solutions to track model and agent performance, resource utilization, and system health. For agentic systems, trace agent actions and log multi-step conversational flows.
  • Scalability and performance optimization: Design and implement scalable architectures for model serving and inference. Continuously optimize the performance and cost-effectiveness of GenAI services.
  • Security and compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices for GenAI infrastructure and data. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or MLOps role focused on cloud infrastructure, with experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or cloud-native services, plus proficiency in Python, Bash, or another scripting language.
  • Familiarity with IaC tools such as AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform, and containerization/orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Track record of deploying and operating LLM inference using vLLM, Triton, TGI, Ray Serve, or KServe/Seldon.
  • Hands-on experience with LLM/application tracing and metrics using OpenTelemetry with Langfuse, Arize Phoenix, or WhyLabs, and with offline/online evaluation pipelines and regression suites.
  • Experience operating retrieval pipelines, including embedding generation, indexing and refresh strategies, vector databases, and relevance monitoring.
  • Experience running multi-agent workflows with LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen-like frameworks, including state management, retries, rate limits, tool-failure handling, and step-level auditing.
  • Experience implementing guardrails, including secrets isolation, tool/API permissions, prompt-injection defenses, data-leakage prevention, PII redaction, and policy enforcement.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Experience with AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, or Google Vertex AI.
  • Familiarity with LLM architecture and operational challenges.
  • Experience designing or managing multi-agent systems or complex orchestrated workflows.
  • Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
  • Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

We offer

  • Hybrid work arrangement and the opportunity to work remotely within Poland.
  • Opportunity to work abroad for up to 60 days annually.
  • Business-driven relocation opportunities.
  • Career development programs, thought leadership, mentoring, soft-skills, and well-being programs.
  • Certification opportunities in Anthropic, Gemini, GCP, Azure, and AWS, plus English classes.
  • Stable pay.
  • Participation in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan with a 15% discount.
  • Benefits package including health insurance, multisport, and shopping vouchers.
  • Referral bonuses up to $2,000.
  • Offices with entertainment and relaxation zones, table tennis, football, free snacks, and coffee.
  • Corporate, social, and well-being events.

Benefits listed above are available to employees only. Contractors are welcome; terms of B2B cooperation agreements are agreed individually. Only selected candidates will be contacted.
