Minimum qualifications

  • 2 years of experience programming in C++ or Python.
  • 2 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.

Preferred qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.

As a software engineer, you will work on a project critical to business needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as the business grows and evolves. Engineers are expected to be versatile, demonstrate leadership, and take on new full-stack problems. You will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables; design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

The Technical Infrastructure team builds and maintains the architecture that supports online products, including data centers, next-generation platforms, and networks. The team keeps networks operating to provide users with a fast experience.

Responsibilities

  • Write product or system development code.
  • Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to choose among available technologies.
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices, including style guidelines, code check-in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product or program updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug, track, and resolve them by analyzing issue sources and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
