Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages, such as Java, C/C++, or Python.
  • 3 years of experience in web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP.
  • Experience in technical troubleshooting and managing internal or external partners or customers.

Preferred qualifications

  • 5 years of software development experience and familiarity with architectural components and system design.
  • Experience with database technologies, such as SQL or NoSQL.
  • Experience architecting, developing, or maintaining cloud solutions in virtualized environments or cloud data engineering.
  • Experience building solutions on AI platforms such as Agent Development Kit (ADK).
  • Experience developing with AI editors such as Antigravity and building skills and AI agents around them.
  • Experience with AI protocols such as MCP and UCP.

About the job

The core mission of Gemini App Partner Engineers is to ensure partners can successfully adopt and deploy connected apps using the Gemini App. This involves deeply understanding partners’ technical and business goals and providing guidance to help them integrate with the Gemini App. The work is in a nascent, fast-changing, and ambiguous space.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new partner integrations within the Gemini App, ensuring a frictionless partner experience and growing user value.
  • Contribute to Gemini’s evolution through LLM-based solutions and processes, including tools and colabs for partner schema ingestion, data preparation, and quality iterations such as prompt engineering, running evaluations, loss-bucket analysis, and SFT data points.
  • Influence product strategy and work with cross-functional teams to bring partner-facing features to market.
  • Advocate for seamless partner and user experiences and for user and partner success with engineering and product teams.
  • Stay current with industry trends and the latest machine-learning research, tools, and techniques.
