Project Description
Our team develops and maintains custom software supporting healthcare operations and clinical workflows. The platform includes backend APIs, system integrations, data-processing services, and AI-enabled applications.
Current applications are primarily written in Python using FastAPI, Pydantic, PyTorch, and medical-imaging libraries. The platform runs in a containerized AWS environment using Lambda, ECS, SageMaker, API Gateway, S3, SQS, EventBridge, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch. Microsoft SQL Server is used for relational data, Docker for local development and packaging, AWS SAM and CloudFormation for infrastructure as code, and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
The team is expanding its stack by taking ownership of additional C# and .NET applications. The role focuses on maintaining and modernizing these applications, developing new capabilities, and integrating them with the existing Python and AWS platform. Reliability, security, observability, and maintainability are key priorities across all systems.
Your Daily Work
- Take ownership of existing C#/.NET applications and develop new backend services, APIs, and integrations.
- Maintain and modernize applications while ensuring compatibility with existing workflows.
- Integrate C# services with the Python, FastAPI, SQL Server, and AWS-based platform.
- Build and support containerized, event-driven services using Docker and AWS.
- Investigate production issues through debugging, monitoring, and log analysis.
- Write automated tests and improve application reliability, security, and performance.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous technical improvements.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to translate requirements into maintainable software.
- Use GitHub, GitHub Actions, and infrastructure-as-code tools for development and CI/CD.
Team & Collaboration
- Team: 4 members, including 2 developers, 1 SRE, and 1 QA, plus 2 client-side members: a PM and an Architect.
- Regular meetings: daily stand-ups, biweekly sprint planning, weekly refinements, and weekly stakeholder meetings with clinic staff.
- Communication: email and Webex chat.
- Working hours: usually 9:30–17:30 CET.
