About This Role
St. Michael's is hiring a Senior Contract Specialist to support a Department of Defense (DoD) client. As a Senior Contract Specialist, you will support development, implementation, and control of traditional and non-traditional financial, contractual, and technical aspects of projects/programs through designated phases of the acquisition cycle. You will work in a client-facing role and collaborate with DCAA and/or DCMA to determine fair and reasonable prices while participating in IPTs and advising stakeholders on acquisition and business-related issues.
Who You Are
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field
- DAWIA Practitioner Level II Equivalency in the Contracting field
- Minimum 10 years working in federal government acquisition programs
- Minimum 8 years of acquisition/contracting experience
- Knowledge of contract data reporting tools, training, and database operations and maintenance
- Knowledge of pre- and post-award procedures for various contract types
- Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and SOFARS regulations
- Knowledge of rapid innovation acquisition strategies including BAAs, Commercial Solutions Offerings, SBIR/STTR, and Other Transactions
Highly Preferred:
- Master's degree in business or related discipline
- Minimum 6 years of acquisition/contracting experience with at least 1 year within USSOCOM
Primary Responsibilities
- Support development, implementation, and control of acquisition program activities
- Support acquisition and contracting strategy planning
- Conduct acquisition research using FAR and other regulatory guidance
- Prepare pre-solicitation documentation including D&F and DD Form 2579
- Prepare solicitations and amendments in contract writing systems
- Conduct price and cost analysis with DCAA and/or DCMA support
- Prepare contract negotiation positions including PNM and BCM
- Prepare contract awards, amendments, and post-award documentation
- Conduct contract administration functions retained by USSOCOM
- Maintain auditable and defendable contract files
- Participate in IPTs and assist stakeholders with acquisition issues
