Career Team is looking to hire a Career Advisor that will perform professional work providing career counseling, intensive case management, and follow-up services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide intensive case management services to registered customers within the One-Stop system
  • Complete intake and eligibility determination for the workforce program
  • Assess jobseekers' employment and training needs and abilities through interviewing, testing, and other methods
  • Enter data into and otherwise use and process clients through participant information systems and other required databases
  • Guide jobseekers through the preparation of individual employment plans (IEP)
  • Counsel clients on available job opportunities, training programs, and other services
  • Complete Individual Training Account (ITA) vouchers and required training documents
  • Refer individuals to appropriate services, training programs, or job opportunities and follow up on those activities
  • Conduct orientation sessions, workshops, job clubs, and other group presentations for clients
  • Follow policies, procedures, and regulations related to eligibility documentation
  • Maintain accurate individual case files and required eligibility documentation
  • Develop comprehensive Individual Employment Plans (IEP) for customers
  • Provide referral and tracking of eligible customers into contracted programs
  • Meet and/or exceed program benchmarks
  • Participate in staff training, meetings, and supervision
  • Complete all required reports
  • Other duties and projects as needed

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • 1+ years of work experience combining elements of training, counseling, case management, or related services
  • 1+ years of case management experience
  • Ability to read and interpret policies and procedures
  • 1+ years of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Mail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Drive
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment

You have a demonstrated curiosity for solving challenging and non-straightforward engineering problems; this might be reflected in a prior research engineering position, contributions to open source projects, self-directed programming projects, or something you'll surprise us with. You bring a track record of designing and building innovative prototypes from the ground up, with examples you can walk through. You have exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to cross-functional teams. You have experience mentoring other engineers or otherwise multiplying the work of a team.
