The role

Experienced professionals in software developer leadership roles are invited to participate in research projects focused on workflow management tools and development processes. The opportunity is intended for individuals involved in evaluating, selecting, purchasing, or making decisions about workflow management tools within their organizations.

Participants complete a 10- to 15-minute assessment to determine suitability for research tasks. Successful candidates may join as participants and get paid to share expertise with researchers and organizations.

Researchers looking for these skills may pay up to $200 per hour. Tasks may require one hour of uninterrupted work, though some are shorter.

This opportunity is open to professionals who:

  • Hold a Manager-level position or above
  • Work in Software Engineering, Software Development, Product Management, or UX/Product Design
  • Currently use, or are actively considering using, workflow management tools
  • Participate in decision-making regarding development, product, or workflow management tools within an organization

What you'll bring

  • Manager-level experience or higher in software engineering, product management, or product design functions
  • Experience evaluating, selecting, implementing, or managing workflow management tools
  • Familiarity with software development, product development, or design workflows
  • Involvement in purchasing decisions, tool selection, budgeting, or strategic recommendations related to development and collaboration tools

What you'll be doing in the role

  • Complete a paid screener to assess background and suitability for research tasks
  • Participate in AI-moderated interviews and written tasks
  • Complete qualitative surveys and feedback activities
  • Share insights about workflow management practices, tool selection, and organizational needs

Key Technologies

  • Direct experience with tools such as Jira, Linear, Azure DevOps, GitHub Projects, GitLab Issues/Boards, Shortcut, Asana, ClickUp, or Monday.com is required.
