Finance Manager

Kodiak Robotics, Inc. was founded in 2018 and has become a leader in autonomous ground transportation committed to a safer and more efficient future for all. The company has developed an artificial intelligence (AI) powered technology stack purpose-built for commercial trucking and the public sector. The company delivers freight daily for its customers across the southern United States using its autonomous technology. In 2024, Kodiak became the first known company to publicly announce delivering a driverless semi-truck to a customer. Kodiak is also leveraging its commercial self-driving software to develop, test and deploy autonomous capabilities for the U.S. Department of Defense.

We are looking for a Finance Manager who can work across the entire finance organization of a fast-paced startup and help build the financial backbone for the business. In this role you will support FP&A, investor relations, corporate development, strategy, and business operations.

Key attributes for success include strong finance and accounting fundamentals, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-impact work for executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Run and enhance FP&A processes including monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-range planning
  • Partner with business functions to provide financial guidance on commercial opportunities and investments
  • Create detailed financial models including revenue, expenses, cash flows, capital structure, and M&A forecasts
  • Produce recurring and ad-hoc reporting, KPI analysis, and variance analysis
  • Assist in developing and implementing FP&A systems
  • Participate in quarterly close, public company reporting, and process improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate FP&A and finance
  • Experience at a publicly traded, fast-paced tech company preferred
  • Advanced financial and business modeling skills
  • Ability to analyze complex topics and deliver actionable insights
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Strong accounting and systems aptitude

Bonus Qualifications

  • Startup experience
  • Experience with financial planning tools, especially Pigment
  • Cost accounting aptitude and SAP supply chain experience
  • Investment banking, private equity, or Big 4 background
