The Opportunity
Join Flexport's People team as a Sr Payroll Associate and play a critical role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. You will manage North America payroll operations, with a focus on hourly employees and Canadian payroll intricacies. Working closely with People, Finance, and external partners, you will resolve complex payroll scenarios, improve processes, and contribute to a seamless employee experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for the North American workforce, including US and Canadian hourly employees.
- Oversee payroll compliance, including tax filings, garnishments, and statutory deductions.
- Collaborate with People, Finance, and payroll vendors to resolve discrepancies and streamline workflows.
- Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements.
- Provide support to employees regarding payroll inquiries.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing payroll operations for a growing organization.
- Expertise in US and Canadian payroll processing, including hourly employee payroll.
- Knowledge of federal, state, provincial, and local payroll tax regulations.
- Experience with payroll systems such as Workday and ADP, and HRIS platforms.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume environments.
- Commitment to compliance in a regulated industry.
