About the role As an Android Software Engineer, you will own the Android client experience and shape how AI behaves, responds and performs on mobile devices. This is not a thin-client or simple API-integration role. You will help build a production Android application in which AI interactions are central to the product experience, with a strong focus on performance, reliability and clarity. What you will do Build and maintain production Android applications using Kotlin. Integrate AI-powered features, including chat, vision, voice and recommendations, through backend APIs. Design user experience patterns for AI interactions, including streaming responses, retries and partial results. Optimize application performance, responsiveness and memory usage across AI-intensive workflows. Implement analytics, logging and feedback collection to support AI evaluation and continuous product improvement. Collaborate closely with backend and Machine Learning engineers on API contracts and system behavior. Ensure application stability, security and scalability in production environments. What we are looking for At least three years of professional Android development experience using Kotlin. Hands-on experience integrating AI functionality such as LLM, vision or speech APIs. Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, particularly Coroutines and Flow. Familiarity with REST or gRPC APIs and structured data formats. Strong debugging and performance-profiling skills. Ability to build systems that must handle latency, partial failures and non-deterministic behavior. Experience with ML Kit or lightweight on-device inference. Experience shipping production applications through the Google Play Store. What success looks like The Android application is stable, smooth and reliable in real-world use. Compensation is determined individually based on: professional experience and technical capability, scope of responsibility, location and relevant market benchmarks, expected impact on the product and organization.
