About the Role
The Imagine team is redefining AI-driven media experiences for Grok users worldwide. As a Product Safety Engineer, you will build critical safety systems and infrastructure for multimodal AI generation across images, video, audio, and beyond. The role focuses on designing safeguards, detection systems, and evaluation frameworks that balance creativity, innovation, and responsible AI deployment.
This position is ideal for engineers passionate about AI safety, content integrity, and scalable systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable safety systems for media generation platforms, including real-time content moderation and safeguard enforcement.
- Build infrastructure to measure, monitor, and mitigate risks such as harmful content, bias, deepfakes, intellectual property issues, and misuse.
- Develop tools, pipelines, and evaluation frameworks for rapid iteration on safety policies.
- Architect feedback loops between user interactions, model outputs, and training data to improve safety and maintain low latency.
- Own full-cycle development of safety features from prototyping through deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
- Collaborate with engineering, research, product, and policy teams to embed safety into core features.
Basic Qualifications
- Proficiency in Rust with experience writing scalable and maintainable code.
