About the Strategic Finance Team

Zipline's Strategic Finance team partners closely with Go-to-Market, Marketing, Product, and Engineering to guide critical decisions and build the financial foundation for scale.

The team drives pricing, forecasting, partner deal structuring, user and partner economics, and scenario planning across core revenue channels and emerging products.

The Role

As a Financial Analyst Intern supporting Operations Finance, you will help optimize the financial performance of global operations. You will work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Data teams to build analyses, streamline reporting, and develop insights that influence strategic and operational decisions.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working with data, and gaining exposure to a hardware-enabled, technology-driven business.

What You'll Do

• Support Operations Finance with metric development, reporting, forecasting, and financial modeling
• Query and analyze large operational datasets using SQL
• Build repeatable dashboards and tools in Excel, Google Sheets, and BI platforms
• Partner with operations leaders to understand drivers of cost, efficiency, and performance
• Support ad-hoc analyses related to operational efficiency, unit economics, and scaling strategies
• Assist in month-end processes, variance analysis, and KPI reviews
• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives involving Supply Chain, Product, and Data teams
• Help improve internal processes through automation and workflow improvements

What You'll Bring

• Strong analytical mindset and attention to operational detail
• Experience with SQL, relational databases, and large datasets
• Snowflake and dbt experience is a plus
• High proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets with financial modeling experience
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of financial statements, accounting fundamentals, and financial analysis concepts
• Interest in technology-enabled or operations-heavy businesses

• Full-time in-person internship based in South San Francisco
• Fall 2026 internship runs from September to December
