As a Senior Software Engineer, you design and develop distributed back-end applications in the Google Cloud. With your products, you enable customers to quickly and flexibly determine the appropriate target groups for coupons, newsletters and more. This means that you take responsibility for an integral part of the marketing platform in Germany, Austria, Poland and Italy.
Responsibilities
- Assume technical responsibility in Python-based product audience management, including architecture, integration, testing, and operations.
- Develop and extend backend components within a message-driven architecture in the Google Cloud using established patterns and best practices.
- Participate in architectural and design discussions, contribute expertise and experience, and promote knowledge sharing in the team.
- Monitor and support the running application as part of regular operations rotation.
Your Profile
- Several years of relevant experience in the design and development of distributed backend applications, preferably in Python.
- Readiness for application development in Python.
- Safe handling of common software development patterns and best practices such as Clean Code and SOLID principles.
- Profound experience with relational databases, SQL and ORM frameworks, especially SQLAlchemy.
- Practical experience with CI/CD processes and tools, ideally GitHub, Terraform (IaC) and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Sound knowledge of message-driven architectures.
- Experience with test automation and ideally Test Driven Development (TDD).
- Familiarity with agile procedures and development methods such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience in DevOps practices and operating applications in a production environment.
- Experience with cloud technologies and architectures, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with BigQuery, PubSub and CloudRun.
