DevOps Engineer - Linux (Top Secret with agreement to obtain CI Poly)

North Point Technology is looking to hire a DevOps Engineer to provide full-spectrum DevOps support for a Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)/SE Linux based enterprise environment, including initial deployment, site support, and automation. The qualified candidate must have an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance. The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver who thrives in an agile, standards-driven environment and enjoys working closely with site teams, users, and government stakeholders to deliver reliable, repeatable deployments.

Responsibilities

This position provides full-spectrum DevOps support across the deployment lifecycle of a RHEL/SE Linux based enterprise product.

Deploy and maintain RHEL/SE Linux configurations through Red Hat Satellite and Ansible automation
Troubleshoot automation and deployment issues with site administrators
Install software libraries within a RHEL/SE Linux environment
Monitor and modify the enterprise environment in an agile setting
Integrate third-party vendor tools and manual deployment steps into automated workflows
Create and modify DevOps automation to improve deployment capabilities and correct errors
Develop and execute test plans, including filesystem upgrades
Resolve issues with vendor support
Provide support to staff and end users
Apply DevOps best practices to deliver projects on schedule

Required Skills/Experience

Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)/SE Linux administration and configuration management
Deployment and automation using Red Hat Satellite and Ansible
Troubleshooting automation and deployment issues alongside site administrators
Installing and supporting software libraries within a RHEL/SE Linux environment
Integrating third-party vendor tools and manual steps into an automated deployment process
Developing and executing test plans, including filesystem upgrades
Experience working in an Agile environment

Preferred Skills/Experience

Supporting staff and end users to resolve enterprise environment issues
Improving and modifying existing DevOps automation to correct errors and expand deployment capabilities
Experience supporting new business growth with additional customers

Qualifications

Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
Clearance level must be clearly identified on resume
