Who You Are

A Senior Manager of Business Optimization is responsible for developing and negotiating innovative expense reduction solutions for large enterprise clients. The role involves consulting directly with CFOs and CIOs and managing expense reduction projects from assessment of product usage, pricing, vendor contracts, and agreements through strategy development and vendor negotiations.

  • Experience in consulting and cost optimization
  • Knowledge of pricing or implementation roles in relevant consulting areas
  • Ability to identify savings opportunities based on infrastructure, vendor contracts, and pricing schedules
  • Ability to develop comprehensive solutions that drive cost savings

Areas of Expertise

IT Consulting – Advises clients on technology strategy, system implementations, and digital transformation initiatives.

IT Workforce Planning – Aligns technical talent with project demand, optimizing staffing models across onshore, offshore, and contingent resources.

Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) – Designs and manages outsourced operations to improve efficiency, service levels, and cost performance.

  • Managed Service Pricing related to IT consulting and services

What You Will Do

  • Collect, analyze, and present data to support client expense reduction decisions
  • Review organizational processes and systems to identify savings opportunities
  • Negotiate or advise on vendor pricing, contracts, and licensing agreements
  • Monitor and present industry trends, vendor contract terms, and pricing changes
  • Manage project timelines, milestones, and action items
  • Develop and follow company and practice group procedures
  • Resolve complex and sensitive client issues through creative problem-solving
  • Maintain productive relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendor executives
  • Present savings opportunities and new project opportunities to clients
  • Support sales initiatives through value proposition development, strategic sales calls, and sales training
  • Prepare analyses and documentation regarding savings opportunities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

What You Need

  • BA/BS degree required
  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant consulting and/or price negotiation experience
  • Demonstrated cost optimization experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Expert data analysis ability in MS Excel
  • Prior consulting experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and writing skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to deliver work with urgency and timeliness

Compensation

The total compensation for this position ranges from $94,700.00 to $155,000.00 depending on skills, experience, education, qualifications, and applicable employment laws.
