Lead .NET Engineer with AWS

We are looking for a Lead .NET Developer with AWS to join our dynamic and collaborative team. This engagement focuses on the transformation of legacy applications into scalable, cloud-native solutions, including the migration of selected microservices to the latest .NET Core, modernization from Windows to Linux, performance optimization and seamless integration with AWS services. We deliver the work as an AI agentic modernization engagement that leverages Kiro and Amazon Transform, aligned with AWS cloud-native best practices and the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
Responsibilities
- Use Kiro and Amazon Transform to accelerate code analysis, refactoring and migration tasks; validate and optimize tool-generated outputs
- Design and develop high-performance, scalable applications with .NET Core and a microservices architecture
- Migrate and refactor legacy .NET Framework (Windows) applications to .NET Core (Linux), with functional parity and improved performance
- Modify and optimize application code and stored procedures for compatibility with PostgreSQL / Aurora PostgreSQL, in line with AWS development standards
- Implement unit tests and performance tests for application stability, responsiveness and production readiness
- Partner with database engineers for seamless integration between application code and PostgreSQL; work closely with AWS ProServe consultants on validation and optimization
- Apply AWS Well-Architected Framework principles across security, reliability, performance efficiency and operational excellence
- Capture key findings, migration strategies, code conversion patterns and technical validation results for long-term maintainability and knowledge transfer
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software development with proven leadership background
- Expertise in C# / .NET Core and advanced proficiency in .NET Framework
- Advanced skills in AWS native development and microservices architecture
- Background in .NET legacy (Windows) to .NET Core (Linux) modernization
- Proficiency in SQL Server, PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL
- Competency in stored procedure migration (T-SQL → PL/pgSQL)
- Knowledge of unit and performance testing
- Ability to overlap with the US EST time zone
- English communication skills at B2 level or higher
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Kiro and Amazon Transform
- Understanding of AWS DMS / SCT
- Skills in Docker and containerization on AWS, including Amazon ECS / EKS
