Western Door Federal is seeking a Power Platform Engineer to support a program with the United States Military Academy - West Point. The objective of this work is to provide comprehensive cloud solution services, hosted in MS Azure, as part of a larger team. This Engineer will be the technical lead for designing, developing, and implementing solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse) within an enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have strengths with Dataverse and solid working experience with governance and Power Platform COE.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop custom business applications using Power Apps and Dataverse.
  • Develop automation workflows using Power Automate.
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint Online, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, and Power BI.
  • Lead the full solution lifecycle from requirements gathering through deployment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Conduct testing, debugging, and quality assurance activities.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and support materials.
  • Serve as the Power Platform SME and provide guidance on governance and COE best practices.
  • Support and maintain deployed solutions, including monitoring and troubleshooting.

Basic Qualifications

  • US citizenship required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform technologies.
  • Experience building Canvas and Model-Driven Apps and integrating external data sources.
  • Experience with Power Platform Center of Excellence (COE).
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure integrations.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling.
  • Experience with C#, .NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, or SQL.
  • Experience with data migration and integration projects.
  • Experience with tools such as PostMan, Fiddler, XRMToolBox, XRMToolKit, KingswaySoft, and Azure Data Factory is a plus.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub for CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
  • DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification such as CompTIA Security+ required.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites if needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications such as PL-900, PL-400, or PL-600.
  • Experience with Power BI dashboards and reporting.
