Description

The project focuses on enhancing an insurance analytics platform that supports insurers and reinsurers in loss reserving and claims analysis. The solution combines actuarial methodologies, machine learning, and advanced data analytics to deliver accurate, transparent, and auditable insights for risk management and financial decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Work primarily on the MLR desktop application with a focus on Smart Search and component updates, and occasionally on other standalone tools.
  • Develop math-driven functionality with emphasis on numerical accuracy verified through extensive automated tests.
  • Apply machine learning algorithms within the product.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to define, refine, and deliver the product backlog.
  • Design and document software solutions meeting functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Implement and refactor C# code following best practices for maintainability, testability, and performance.
  • Implement unit tests, develop test frameworks, and create automated test cases.
  • Review and debug code to identify defects, performance bottlenecks, and technical debt.
  • Work closely with test engineers to ensure sufficient test coverage and perform manual testing when necessary.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to improve team processes and engineering practices.
  • Use AI tools to support development.

Must-haves

  • 3+ years of professional experience with C# and .NET.
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle in a commercial/production environment, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
  • Experience with Agile and Extreme Programming methodologies.
  • Experience with SQL Server.
  • Upper-Intermediate English level or higher.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Python.
  • Experience with machine learning and algorithms.
  • Experience with desktop applications (WPF, WinForms).
