Senior Software Engineer

Senior • Hybrid

Wroclaw, Poland

It’s more than a job

In this IT role, you will manage, develop, and support the technology infrastructure that powers global systems and operations. Your work enables teams to deliver fresh fruit, time-sensitive healthcare products, and more to people around the world.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d) to join the agile Sea Freight BPA (Business Process Automation) team. In this role, you will develop SALOG, a core platform supporting global forwarding. You will work alongside a global team of engineers and analysts, building products that deliver innovative solutions for stakeholders. You write and own code, leveraging AI agents to get the job done, bringing engineering judgment to define intent, steer agents, and ensure what gets shipped is correct, maintainable, and production-ready.

How you create impact

  • Be part of the full software development cycle: design, implement, and deliver features in collaboration with stakeholders and users.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and take ownership of what you ship — with AI agents as your primary delivery lever.
  • Direct AI agents effectively: define clear intent, guide generation, and steer towards the right solution.
  • Own the outcome of AI-generated code — reviewing for correctness, security, and long-term maintainability before it ships.
  • Process Orchestration: Learn and leverage Camunda and BPMN 2.0 to model and steer complex business processes that power global Sea Freight.
  • Stay current with evolving AI agentic development practices and actively bring new capabilities into the team's workflow.
  • Mentor new and junior colleagues and help them grow into effective AI-agentic engineers.

What we would like you to bring

  • Engineering Foundation: Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) and several years of hands-on experience in the Java stack and frontend technologies such as Angular.
  • Technical Stack: Java EE. Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Jest, Serenity BDD), relational/NoSQL databases, and build/automation tools (Maven, Git, Jenkins). As a plus: Angular, OpenShift, Docker.
  • Business-Value Focus: Driven to deliver high-quality products with a customer-centric view, ensuring technical features translate into tangible business improvements for Sea Freight operations.
  • BPA & Orchestration: Strong interest in Business Process Automation and motivation to master Camunda and BPMN to orchestrate complex logistics workflows.
  • AI Ownership: Hands-on experience working with AI agents in day-to-day development — directing, reviewing, and taking ownership of what they produce.
  • System Reasoning: Ability to reason about system behavior, failure modes, and long-term evolution.
  • Agile Mindset: Confidence in self-organization and communication, willingness to engage in pair/mob programming, and foster a culture of feedback.
  • Language: Fluent written and spoken English.

What’s in it for you

You’ll work in a modern engineering environment where innovation, collaboration, and ownership are part of everyday work. You will have the opportunity to shape globally used logistics solutions while working with modern technologies, cloud-native approaches, and AI-augmented development practices. A hybrid work model, opportunities for continuous learning, and clear career development paths are offered. You’ll join a team that values knowledge sharing, experimentation, and continuous improvement while contributing to products that support global logistics operations every day.
