Description

Career Team is looking to hire a Youth Career Advisor who will perform professional work providing career counseling, intensive case management, and follow-up services to young adults eligible for the WIOA program. Work is performed under the supervision of the WIOA Program Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Provide information and case management services to community members interested in WIOA Youth services
  • Complete intake and eligibility determination for workforce programs
  • Assess career seekers' employment, abilities, and training needs through interviewing, testing, and other methods
  • Serve as a liaison between workforce development programs and community partners and resources
  • Offer all youth participants the required 14 Youth Program Elements as part of case management
  • Create and foster relationships with area juvenile justice centers and school districts
  • Enter data into state system and process clients through participant information systems
  • Guide career seekers through preparation of Individual Employment Plans (IEP)
  • Advise youth on job and education opportunities, training programs, and services
  • Refer individuals to appropriate services and follow up on activities
  • Conduct orientation sessions, workshops, job clubs, and group presentations
  • Maintain accurate individual case files in the state system ensuring compliance
  • Meet or exceed program benchmarks
  • Complete required reports within the data management system

Work Arrangement

This position is expected to be 100% onsite and requires work within the community.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of WIOA and workforce program requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel and ability to learn specialized databases
  • Ability to maintain compliance documentation and confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Valid Driver's License

Salary & Benefits

Salary: $54,500 - $57,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience. Competitive benefits package including healthcare, dental, and personal/vacation time.

Travel

Travel is primarily limited to necessary trips within Snohomish County to support career seekers.

Background Check

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, including criminal, prior employment, and education verification.
