We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join a long-term project for a leading UK company in the Media & Advertising sector. You will play a key role in ensuring software quality through automated testing, working closely with development teams in a modern Agile environment. The project runs until the end of 2026 with possible extension.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for backend services
Create and execute automated test scenarios using Java-based frameworks
Collaborate closely with developers, Technical Leads, and Product teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle
Support and promote a Shift Left testing approach
Analyze test results, identify defects, and proactively drive quality improvements
Contribute to UI test automation initiatives using Playwright (TypeScript)
Participate in test planning, execution, reporting, and continuous improvement activities

Requirements

Must Have:
Strong commercial experience in test automation
Hands-on experience with Java for automated testing
Experience working with BDD methodologies and frameworks
Knowledge of testing techniques and software quality assurance best practices
Experience with test execution, reporting, and logging tools
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Experience working in Agile environments
English at a minimum B2 level (full professional proficiency)
Nice to Have:
Experience with Playwright and TypeScript
Knowledge of JavaScript
Experience testing distributed systems, APIs, or microservices
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
Experience working in cloud-based environments
