The role
As a Senior QA Engineer, you will work in a cross-functional team of senior engineers, developers, and architects, taking ownership of QA across all project stages. You will solve complex technical challenges, influence project outcomes, and ensure high-quality delivery.
You will take substantial features from concept to shipping, provide guidance to junior engineers, and contribute to proposals and project planning. Your work will span both automated and manual testing, with opportunities to shape processes and influence multiple projects.
You will also play a key role in implementing new technologies, guiding teams on complex components, and providing technical expertise where needed.
Qualifications
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience testing web applications.
Working knowledge of Java.
Proven experience in creating automated tests for web applications and APIs.
Experience with parallel test executions and distribution options (CI/CD, Docker).
Ability to design test approaches and actively participate in manual testing, including creation, review, execution, and exploratory testing.
Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
Experience with test management tools, bug-tracking systems, and exposure to all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
Desirable Skills
Recognized as a technical expert with deep expertise in at least one programming environment and basic proficiency in another.
Ability to lead complex projects, influence project direction, and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Experience in high-impact feature development affecting customers and users.
System-wide responsibility for complex components or multiple projects.
Capability to provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Routine reporting to Scrum Masters and authority to make project-related decisions.
Extensive domain knowledge and experience in improving strategic processes.
