We’re looking for a Software Engineer with Python and React to join our Platform Extensions team. The team currently consists of 6 members and is responsible for Controlant’s device life cycle management, monitoring solutions, device logistics solutions, as well as customer and third-party device integrations.

In this role, you will work within our Development Life Cycle and Innovation Process, collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to define business and technical requirements for developing new features or redesigning existing functionality.

What are the responsibilities?

  • Translate product and technical requirements into functional, high-quality deliverables.

  • Design and implement features or components by following established architectural standards and engineering best practices.

  • Participate in requirement refinement, technical design discussions, and team planning.

  • Independently deliver features or solutions from design through deployment, with support when needed.

  • Collaborate with team members, Engineering Managers, and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet business goals.

  • Conduct reviews (discipline-dependent: e.g., code reviews, test plan reviews, hardware design reviews, infrastructure changes) and contribute to shared team standards and documentation.

  • Monitor and maintain systems or solutions in production/operational environments (discipline-dependent: e.g., software services, data pipelines, hardware devices, infrastructure platforms), participating in incident resolution as needed.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across tools, workflows, and solution quality.

  • Guide and mentor associate developers by providing technical direction, code reviews, design feedback, and support for their professional growth and development.

What are the qualifications?

  • University degree in Computer science, Engineering or similar - or experience in Software Development.

  • Highly open to and experienced with using AI tools (particularly Claude) to enhance coding productivity, problem-solving, and development workflows.

  • Experience in Python.

  • At least basic knowledge of front-end technologies, especially React.

  • .NET experience is a big plus.

  • Experience with AWS is a big plus.

  • Self-motivated with an ability to work autonomously.

  • Good written and spoken English.
