Fullstack Software Developer

We're looking for a talented Fullstack Software Developer to join a global R&D technology team supporting cutting-edge research in the life sciences sector.
This is a unique opportunity to develop mission-critical applications used by scientists and laboratory teams to manage, track, and analyse valuable research samples throughout their lifecycle.

You'll work on a modern web platform that sits at the heart of laboratory operations, helping research teams streamline workflows, maintain data integrity, and accelerate scientific innovation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing, developing, and enhancing a large-scale sample management platform

  • Building new features around inventory management, sample tracking, ordering workflows, and data analytics

  • Developing modern frontend experiences using SPA technologies

  • Creating robust backend services and APIs in Python

  • Collaborating closely with scientists, product owners, and technical stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into elegant software solutions

  • Ensuring high-quality architecture, maintainable code, and scalable system design

  • Integrating with laboratory and research management systems to support seamless end-to-end workflows

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience with Python development (essential)

  • Experience building modern web applications using frontend frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular

  • Solid understanding of API design and software engineering best practices

  • Experience with databases and SQL (Oracle experience is beneficial)

  • Strong knowledge of software architecture and scalable system design

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience within laboratory, scientific, healthcare, biotech, or regulated environments is advantageous but not required
