About the Team 

The mission of our team in Allegro is maintaining and tuning private and public cloud solutions  and its ecosystem. Our work is a never-ending challenge that gives us an opportunity to learn new technology trends from the world of FOSS and run them. If we don’t find what we need in the FOSS, we develop it.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Operating running private (Openstack) and public (GCP) clouds

  • Working in the spirit of the GitOps philosophy

  • Automating and optimizing tools related to our work (most often related to Openstack and GCP)

  • Creating tools according to our needs and requirements

  • Holding on-call duty 24/7

This is the right job for you if:

  • Linux Mastery & Architecture: Deep hands-on experience in Linux Systems Administration (with a preference for ARM architecture), including proficiency in debugging at the kernel, networking, and storage layers.

  • Automation & Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages, specifically Bash and Python, to build robust automation solutions.

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Extensive experience with IaC practices covering infrastructure, compliance, and security using tools such as Terraform.

  • Configuration Management: Proven expertise with configuration management tools such as Ansible and Salt.

  • Cloud & Provisioning: Practical experience in provisioning resources and managing permissions/IAM within public cloud environments (GCP/Azure/AWS).

  • Troubleshooting & Distributed Systems: Demonstrated expertise in analyzing and troubleshooting complex issues, preferably within the context of large-scale distributed systems.

  • Database & Networking: Solid understanding of MySQL and a strong foundation in networking principles to contribute to a well-rounded engineering skill set.

This role is essential for reducing the time required for thorough development testing by developing automated E2E tests and performing manual tests to identify typical and edge-case use cases. By providing testing support and delivering tools that streamline the testing process, you will directly impact the speed and quality of delivering business solutions. Important things for you: Flexible working hours in the hybrid model (4/1) - working hours start between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. We also have 30 days of occasional remote work. The salary range for this position depending on the skill set is as follows (contract of employment, tax-deductible cost): PLN 11 200 - 15 250 Annual bonus based on your annual performance and company results. Our team is based in Poznań. In your daily work you will handle the following tasks: Supporting the design and implementation of automated tests within the technology stack agreed upon with the team, while also executing and maintaining them. Creating and performing manual tests and collaborating with the team to define test criteria during new feature development. Actively participating in the entire product development cycle to help identify edge cases, mutually exclusive requirements, or logic gaps. Reporting identified bugs and supporting backlog prioritization to ensure platform stability. Maintaining the appropriate level of Quality Assurance within the team, particularly in SDLC processes. Collaborating with Software Engineers regarding test status reporting and with other Test Engineers within the domain. Writing clean, easy-to-read, and easy-to-debug code while contributing to the definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD). Acting as a "customer ambassador" – continuously evaluating the team’s work from the end-user's perspective. This is the right job for you if you: Have basic practical experience with modern automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, or Appium). See manual testing as the best way to truly understand a product before you start writing code to automate it. Understand how web or mobile interfaces are built (comfortable with DOM, CSS selectors, or mobile view hierarchies).
