We are currently seeking a proactive and hands-on MECM Consultant to join our team. This role focuses on managing and optimising both Microsoft and Linux environments, with a strong emphasis on automation and user engagement.

You will be responsible for server configuration, patch management, and endpoint (PC, laptop) management across a mixed infrastructure estate. The environment includes Microsoft technologies as well as Linux distributions such as Red Hat and Ubuntu.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership, demonstrates initiative, and actively contributes ideas to improve systems and processes. You will work closely with users, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently while continuously identifying opportunities for optimisation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Microsoft server infrastructure (Windows Server)

  • Perform patch management and system updates across servers and endpoints

  • Administer and support endpoint devices (Windows PCs, laptops, Surface devices)

  • Configure and manage Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)

  • Support and enhance Microsoft Intune environments

  • Drive automation initiatives, particularly within the Microsoft ecosystem (e.g. Power Automate)

  • Provide user-facing support, ensuring high-quality engagement and issue resolution

  • Proactively identify system improvements and recommend solutions

  • Take ownership of incidents and problem resolution from start to finish

Required skills and experience:

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows, including Surface devices

  • Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)

  • Experience with Microsoft Intune

  • Experience with automation tools, including Microsoft Power Automate

  • Experience managing endpoint devices in enterprise environments

  • Solid understanding of patching and configuration management

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and user engagement abilities

  • Ability to work proactively and independently

Desirable skills:

  • Experience with Red Hat Linux

  • Experience with Ubuntu Linux
