Why Join Us

At Cloudfide, we engineer solutions where data truly becomes an accelerator for innovation. We build and evolve large-scale Big Data and cloud-native platforms for global clients, including leaders in retail and the Fortune 500. We process massive, complex datasets, operate fully in the cloud ecosystem, and work with the latest technologies, including AI, ML, MLOps, and modern data architectures.

Our projects have measurable, real‑world impact - from enhancing customer experiences at scale to empowering data-driven decision-making in high‑visibility global organizations. As we continue to grow, you'll have the opportunity to shape solutions, mentor others, drive architecture decisions, and take ownership of strategic initiatives.

Opportunity Overview

As a Mid+/Senior DevOps Engineer (GCP), you will join the team behind AI Factory - a cloud-agnostic platform for building and running generative AI and ML applications across Azure, GCP, and AWS. Your primary focus will be maintaining and evolving the GCP infrastructure layer of this platform, ensuring it is secure, scalable, and production-ready for cutting-edge AI workloads.

Expect deep work with GKE, service meshes, GitOps, and GCP-native networking in a complex, high-stakes environment where your troubleshooting skills and ownership mindset will be tested and valued.

You'll join a team of passionate engineers who value technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous growth.

Your Responsibilities

  • Operating, maintaining, and debugging GKE clusters at an advanced level - including workload management, networking, and cluster-level troubleshooting under pressure.

  • Configuring and debugging Istio or Cilium service mesh - managing traffic policies, mTLS, observability, and cross-service communication.

  • Defining and enforcing Kyverno policies for governance, security, and compliance across Kubernetes workloads.

  • Managing Ingress and Gateway API configurations for reliable and secure traffic routing.

  • Driving GitOps workflows using FluxCD - managing continuous delivery and infrastructure state across environments.

  • Designing and maintaining GCP networking and security infrastructure - VPC, Private Service Connect, IAM, Workload Identity Federation, Identity-Aware Proxy, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Storage.

  • Building and maintaining GitHub Actions pipelines for automation, deployment, and platform operations.

  • Writing Python scripts to automate operational tasks and platform management workflows.

  • Collaborating clearly and proactively with cross-functional teams - including ML engineers, data engineers, and application developers — to resolve platform-level issues.

  • Taking ownership of issues - diagnosing, escalating where needed, and driving problems to resolution without being asked.

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience in a DevOps, Platform, or Cloud Engineering role, with significant hands-on GCP exposure.

  • Advanced GKE and Kubernetes skills - you can debug complex cluster and workload issues confidently in production.

  • Hands-on experience with Istio or Cilium service mesh - policy configuration, traffic management, and debugging.

  • Practical knowledge of Kyverno, Ingress/Gateway API, and FluxCD (GitOps).

  • Deep familiarity with GCP services - VPC, Private Service Connect, IAM, Workload Identity Federation, Identity-Aware Proxy, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage.

  • Experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD and automation workflows.

  • Proficiency in Docker and container lifecycle management.

  • Python scripting skills for automation and operational tooling.

  • Strong troubleshooting mindset - calm under pressure, systematic in approach, relentless in resolution.

  • Excellent cross-team communication skills - able to explain complex infrastructure issues clearly to diverse audiences.

  • Fluent English - our daily working language with international teams and clients.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Cloud Interconnect and hybrid connectivity patterns.

  • Familiarity with Vertex AI integration with GKE (connectivity and networking layer).

  • Hands-on experience with Azure AKS or multi-cloud Kubernetes environments.

  • Exposure to Databricks in a cloud or platform engineering context.

  • Experience working on AI/ML platforms or MLOps infrastructure.
