At Capco Poland, we’re not just another consultancy - we’re the spark behind digital transformation in the financial world. As a global leader in technology and management consulting, we thrive on helping clients tackle the toughest challenges across banking, payments, capital markets, wealth, and asset management.

About the Role

We are supporting a leading global investment bank within its CIB Markets division, partnering with the Modelling & Analytics Group (MAG) to enhance pricing and risk platforms.

We are seeking a Technical QA Engineer to join a high-performing team focused on testing, validating, and improving large-scale distributed systems used for real-time pricing and risk analytics.

This role goes beyond traditional QA — you will work hands-on with test environments, deployments, and system behavior, collaborating closely with developers, quants, and trading stakeholders to ensure robust, high-performance platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute functional and automated tests for complex pricing and risk systems

  • Validate end-to-end workflows across distributed platforms and applications

  • Perform root cause analysis of issues identified in test environments, working closely with development teams to resolve them

  • Support and execute application deployments and release processes in non-production environments

  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, test frameworks, and quality engineering best practices

  • Analyze system performance, logs, and behavior to ensure stability, scalability, and reliability

  • Collaborate with traders, quantitative developers, and engineering teams to understand requirements and improve system quality

  • Continuously improve testing approaches using modern tools, including AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot)

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Technical QA Engineer / SDET / Test Engineer in complex systems

  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, including both functional and automation testing

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and release processes

  • Experience working with Linux environments, distributed systems, and application deployments

  • Ability to perform technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis using logs and system insights

  • Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (e.g., Python)

  • Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, Ansible, or similar is a plus

  • Exposure to financial systems, trading platforms, or risk/pricing systems is advantageous

  • Experience with or openness to using AI productivity tools (e.g., Copilot)

What We’re Looking For

  • A hands-on, technically curious problem-solver who enjoys understanding how systems work under the hood

  • Someone who takes ownership of quality and can independently investigate and resolve issues

  • A team player who can bridge the gap between QA, development, and business stakeholders

  • A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and innovation
