Project description:

Own the quality assurance strategy and delivery infrastructure for the IVI application, ensuring a stable and repeatable testing and release process, high-quality software builds, and efficient validation across emulator and hardware environments, with particular focus on offline-capable offroad navigation workflows, map performance, and connectivity transition scenarios. Main goal of the project is to create an Android Application for Offroad Navigation App that will be deployed on an Automotive IVI system.

Main responsibilities:

  • Define, maintain and execute the overall testing strategy, based on an emulator-first approach, with hardware validation performed as a subsequent step

  • Establish and maintain a clear separation between emulator-based and hardware-based testing activities, coordinating execution of hardware-dependent validation with the customer

  • Build, maintain, and evolve: compliance checks regression test suites automated validation pipelines

  • Develop and manage the AAOS build and release pipeline, including: application signing build variants OEM sideloading artifacts release packaging

  • Ensure a fast feedback loop with the customer’s engineering team, enabling emulator-validated builds to be quickly verified on target hardware

  • Prepare and support certification and release activities, including: OEM validation processes, Google Play release preparation, production readiness verification

  • Own the release infrastructure and deployment governance, including: environment configurations, feature flag management, rollback procedures, release traceability

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Android Automotive OS (AAOS) build, integration, and testing frameworks

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release management for Android-based platforms

  • Experience in validation across emulator and physical hardware environments

  • Experience testing navigation-centric IVI applications, including offline navigation and connectivity transition scenarios

  • Strong analytical and debugging skills

  • Experience working in Agile software development environments

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with OEM integration and Google certification processes for automotive software platforms

  • Understanding of automotive software development processes and constraints (e.g., ASPICE)

  • Experience with connected vehicle and navigation systems

Additional information:

For the time being, no travel is expected. As the customer is based in Montana, USA, and operates with an 8-hour time difference, some overlap in working hours may be required to ensure effective collaboration and synchronization. Therefore, core working hours may occasionally extend until 18:00–19:00 CET.

A company laptop will be provided by Spyrosoft, with Linux as the preferred working environment. Any additional equipment or toolchain required for the project will be provided by the customer.
