More about us and our projects [click]
Hey!
We’re looking for a talented Front-End Developer to help us build beautiful e-commerce stores for some of the world’s best DTC brands.
If you want to level up your front-end skills, work in a modern tech stack, and be part of a senior team - this role is for you.
We also take growth seriously. We have four clearly defined engineering levels (SE I, SE II, Senior SE I, Senior SE II), each with explicit expectations. You’ll always know where you stand and what’s required to reach the next level.
What we do
Since 2019, we’ve worked with brands like Lady Gaga, Carhartt WIP, Magda Butrym and Rolex, and collaborated with designers from Pentagram, ex-Tesla, and ex-Apple.
We're focused entirely on eCommerce, and our goal is simple: to be one of the best eCommerce tech teams in the world.
About the Role
Skills we're looking for
2+ years of experience in Javascript, HTML and CSS
Experience in building high-quality, responsive layouts
Eye for the design detail and caring about user experience
Awareness of web performance best practices (Core Web Vitals), developing for accessibility and SEO
Interpreting and working with third-party APIs
Communicative in both verbal and written English
Fluency in Polish language
What makes a strong fit
You think in trade-offs - when you choose an approach, you can explain why and what you're giving up
You own your work end-to-end: from unclear brief to deployed feature, including the parts nobody explicitly asked you to handle
When something isn't going to plan, you raise it early - and you bring a proposal, not just the problem
You can explain a technical decision clearly to a developer and a PM in the same conversation
Nice to have:
Experience in e-commerce (any platform)
What it’s really like to work here
At Commerce-UI, we trust each other’s judgment and take pride in our craft. Everyone here owns their work - not because someone expects it, but because we care about what we build and the people we build it with.
We believe in high standards and flexibility, and we back that with real autonomy from day one. You’ll quickly see how we operate: fast, focused, and with a lot of trust that everyone knows what they’re doing.
We don’t rely on layers of management or rigid playbooks. Instead, we collaborate closely, share context openly, and help each other grow. Things move quickly, but that’s part of the fun - it’s how we learn, adapt, and ship meaningful products for iconic brands.
If you value ownership, clarity, and a team that believes in mutual trust and high craftsmanship, you’ll feel right at home with us.
Why you’ll love working here
Small, senior, passionate team - no bureaucracy, real impact
Work on ambitious, design-led projects for global brands
Freedom to shape how we build things

Are you ready to develop innovative frontend solutions for online shops with your team, increasing our brand awareness and strengthening customer loyalty? Do you enjoy getting hands-on with modern web technologies and developing high-quality software? Then you are exactly right for our Engineering Team! As a Frontend Developer , you are an integral part of a cross-functional team and report to your Team Lead Engineering. You work closely with your teammates, product management, as well as UX and other specialist departments to realize innovative and customer-oriented solutions. Your Mission You develop high-quality and scalable frontend architectures with passion and technical expertise. Through your commitment, you contribute significantly to implementing technical innovations and continuously improving the User Experience (UX). Your focus is clearly on the Web Frontend with React and TypeScript . At the same time, you are curious about neighboring technologies: Your know-how (or your interest) in Flutter helps us bridge the gap between Web and Mobile App and leverage synergies. Your tasks in detail Technical Responsibility & Development: Analyze, design, and implement new features for our online shops – from the first idea to going live. Develop performant, reusable components in React and TypeScript and ensure a pixel-perfect implementation of sophisticated UI/UX designs. Use your understanding of mobile development (Flutter) to promote professional exchange with the App Team and ensure consistent user journeys across Web and App. Conduct code reviews and promote the application of Clean Code and Test-Driven Development in the frontend. Recognize technical debt and derive targeted measures for its reduction. Quality Assurance & Best Practices: Ensure high development standards, test processes (Unit, Integration, E2E tests), and technical documentation. Optimize the performance of our web applications (Core Web Vitals) and ensure accessibility (a11y). Identify and actively support the maintenance and optimization of frontend build pipelines and test environments. Collaboration & Planning: Work closely with product management and your team to specify requirements, realistically estimate development efforts, and implement solutions effectively. Actively participate in decisions regarding technological direction and bring in suggestions for selecting suitable tools and frameworks in the React ecosystem. Operations & Infrastructure: Support the operation and monitoring of the applications you have developed (Monitoring, Error Tracking). Actively help to continuously improve CI/CD processes for the frontend. What you bring At least 3 years of practical experience in frontend development, ideally in an e-commerce environment. Excellent knowledge of TypeScript and React as well as modern HTML and CSS (SASS/LESS, CSS-in-JS, or Tailwind). An advantage: Knowledge of Flutter and Dart. You understand the concepts of mobile development and can exchange ideas on an equal footing with our mobile developers or even support them punctually. Familiarity with architectural concepts such as Micro-Frontends , Domain Driven Design (DDD), or Self-Contained Systems is an advantage. Knowledge of handling REST APIs as well as GraphQL. Broad experience with CI/CD tools, container technologies (Docker), and an affinity for agile working methods. A high degree of quality awareness for Clean Code, tests (e.g., Jest, Cypress, Playwright), and technical documentation. Strong communication skills, openness to constructive feedback, and a cooperative way of working. Active exchange within the developer community as well as the willingness to regularly bring new knowledge and innovative ideas to the team. We’re probably not a great match if you... Prefer frameworks like SAFe or projects that kick off with a rigid set of formal specifications ( Lastenheft ). Have worked primarily in highly regulated industries without experience in fast-paced, product-led environments and distributed systems. Feel more comfortable in role models where infrastructure, backend, frontend, testing, and product thinking are strictly siloed. Expect requirements to be handed to you fully "ready to go," instead of refining them alongside Product Management and striving to truly understand the customer. View professional development mainly as the employer's responsibility , rather than learning out of your own curiosity—whether that’s on the job, at an evening event, or simply by picking up a book. Are more frustrated than motivated by imperfect systems —spoiler alert: we aren't "there" yet. Strictly separate work from having a good time.
