Role Overview
The project focuses on building advanced cybersecurity and IT infrastructure components, including secure communication foundations used by higher-level control interfaces.
You will be responsible for working with an existing C-based networking framework deployed on multiple Unix-like platforms (Linux, BSD, macOS, iOS). The role emphasizes analysis, adaptation, and enhancement of a low-level networking stack, as well as supporting its integration with higher-level system components, rather than greenfield development.
Responsibilities
Analyze and understand an existing low-level networking framework written in C
Modify and extend the framework to meet new requirements
Consult and collaborate closely with iOS developers on integration aspects
Review networking design decisions and provide expert guidance
Optionally design and implement new networking features or improvements
Ensure robustness, performance, and security of networking components
Requirements
Strong professional experience in C and/or C++
Proven experience implementing low-level networking (sockets, protocols, concurrency, performance tuning)
Hands-on experience with Unix-like operating systems (any of: Unix, BSD, Linux, macOS, iOS)
Solid understanding of network protocols and system-level APIs
Ability to analyze existing codebases and work with legacy systems
Comfortable working in a consulting-style role, advising other engineers
Nice to have
Experience with iOS internals or networking on iOS
Background in security-sensitive systems, secure communication, or infrastructure software
Familiarity with certificate-based authentication or provisioning mechanisms
