You will work within a senior engineering team made up of backend, frontend, and infrastructure specialists. The team collaborates closely, values clear ownership, and focuses on shipping production-ready solutions with minimal overhead.

Position overview

We are looking for an AI Backend Engineer who combines strong Python and Django experience with a product-oriented mindset and a practical, hands-on approach to using AI in daily development work. You will own features end-to-end and contribute directly to both product and technical direction in a low-process, high autonomy environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services using Python and Django in production environments

• Contribute to modern React-based frontend applications using current component patterns and hooks

• Design and deliver features end-to-end from concept through implementation, deployment, and iteration

• Use AI tools to accelerate development, automation, and product delivery

• Identify opportunities to replace manual or repetitive work with AI-driven solutions

• Collaborate with senior engineers on system design, architecture, and production reliability

• Contribute to AWS based infrastructure and Kubernetes deployments

• Improve CI CD pipelines and support stable and reliable production systems

• Take ownership of production services with minimal day-to-day oversight

Requirements

• At least six years of professional software engineering experience

• Production experience with Python and Django

• Experience with JavaScript and React, including modern hooks and component architecture

• Experience working with AWS services

• Experience with Kubernetes and container-based deployments

• Background in building and maintaining production systems

• Experience with API design, data modeling, and system-level thinking

• Ability to make independent technical decisions and take responsibility for outcomes

• Ability to ramp up quickly in existing and complex codebases

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a proactive ownership approach

Nice to have

• Experience building AI-powered products or integrations, such as LLM-based features, agents, or automation tools

• Startup or founder experience

• Experience working in fast-moving teams with lightweight processes
